The Savoy Gastronomes’ Olive Barnett Award seeks to actively reward excellence in employees below 30 years of age, who work in one of the vital customer facing roles in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. The award was created by the Savoy Gastronomes in recognition of Olive Barnett who pioneered excellence at The Savoy. The award is organised by Springboard with principle sponsor The Savoy.
Stage 1 Submit a vibrant and engaging 2 minute video of yourself speaking on the following subject: Why do you think you are a rising hospitality star? Once you have completed your online registration Form you can upload your YouTube vidoe following the instructions Here or email us a link to your video. An up to date CV and employer reference or testimonial must be submitted when entering the awards. A shortlist of 30 will be selected to submit a 750 word report on: Describe your vision for a new hospitality business, including its unique differentiators. What internal communication strategies would you use to ensure that every member of staff had a clear understanding of your vision for the business? Eight finalists will then be invited to a judging weekend and to make a careers presentation to the judging panel from 25th-28th May 2012 at the Savoy in London.
